Kaymazing Reviews GWIOY ep.2 Recess School's Out

Go Watch it on Youtube ep. 2
Recess School's Out has all the qualities of a bad movie, weak animation, most characters are simple stereotypes, and the plot is ridiculous. But damn this stuff is funny.
This movie should be bad. It should be a cheap movie used to get the final remnants of cash off of an ending series. But then they went ahead and messed up all that badness by writing some hilarious jokes. I'm not kidding when I say this was one of the funnier movies I've seen. It's jokes were aimed at kids except stayed clever and threw in some for the adults.
What's amazing about the comedy is not only is it simple childish jokes, but it can be observational humor relating to kids. For example when they break into the empty school in summer Gus whispers "I hope someones feeding the gerbil." Along with that it's fun watching a movie where kids logic and actions are used, when they are spying on the scientists, Gretchen is explaining their equipment when TJ interrupts "SHHH the bad guys are talking!"
OK So basically this movie takes the show Recess, and makes a feature length film. The plot involves an evil principle back for revenge wanted to remove summer vacation. The plot is far-fetched and misplaced if you were a fan of the show. However as an outsider to the Recess the plot is understandable. The characters all carry from the show, nothing special except a guy named Dabney Coleman as Principal Prickly, he is amazing. He's an old school character actor (look him up!) who went from the shows version, just a simple character with no real changes. To an amazing multidimensional near hero, who shines in the film. Besides him there is only one new character the villain Billiam (awesome name because it's a classic kid joke)and he's played by...... Holy Shit is that James Woods!!! Yea, James Woods is the villain here and. he. is. AWESOME! The expressions his animated character make can't
even justify his voice acting.

This soundtrack is amazing, introducing a younger audience to classic hits, that still fit well to the movie "Dancing in the Street" "One is the loneliest number" "Born to be Wild" and alot others.

Admittedly, considering the last movie I reviewed, Iron Giant, had beautiful visuals, this one is the opposite. The animation is pretty bad, but not distracting and if your not one to care, it won't affect you.

This movie is a must see! Especially if you grew up watching the series like me but even if you have never seen the show you should still check it out. You can find the full movie (in 8 parts) on youtube I'd go check it out.
As a true movie, I still rank it highly, it's good to show young kids as entertainment, but as a teen I still love it and would watch it with friends.
I'll give it a 8/10, It reminded me of the Simpson's movie, you might not care about the plot or the message, but you'll laugh your ass off.
