IWIOY ep. 11 Pinocchio 3000
Ok well just by the title itself I'm scared, really scared. But let's check out Pinocchio 3000 on I Watched it on Youtube. Don't worry it'll be fine, it was made by Canadians!
To start off, this movie should not have gotten past concept, then it shouldnt of got past designing because the character models are terrible, then it shouldn't of gotten past creating the animation because that looks like it was made by interns, and not animating interns but interns who had no knowledge of animation before hand.
They got Howie Mandell? well... it's not really impressive but it's a big name, does he voice Pinocchio? no. Gippeto? nope. A minor role as a shaking robot penguin butler? You guessed it!
Whoopi Goldberg as the fairy... ok I guess? not much to say about that. But again, just SO poor of a character design. O yea and Malcolm Mcdowell stops by to collect a paycheck as the main villain.
Ok in actual Pinocchio the fairy appears and we can suspend reality to believe it. But here in all concrete and metal world a robot boy is for no specific reasom and then a fairy appears in front of many people without much shock
No, No, NO, fuck this, fuck this movie, I can't do it, I can't keep reviewing this shit. This movie is the worst thing I have ever seen. Period. And I've seen The Room!!! I'm done with these reviews, this movie has showed me there is no hope for animated movies!
Well..... maybe I'll give it one more chance, but it's going to take a miracle for it to be any good, so what movie will I review? How about one with some teenagers, a couple of mutants, throw in a few ninjas, and possibly a decent amount of turtles.
Ugh, I need to fill up on some good, android style digital world, I'm gonna watch some Mega Man!
P.S. I give this movie a .5/10 Calling it a movie is a stretch

IWIOY ep. 10 Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker
I'm not making a "expectations before I watch it segment" because I need to get this statement out there. Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker is AWESOME. This is the second best batman movie out there after the Dark Knight of course. Also, Mark Hamill as the Joker in this movie is the best portrayal of the Joker ever. Yea I went there, this Joker beats out Heath Ledger as the greatest joker of all time.
With that bold statement let's get to the movie, it's Batman Beyond time on I Watched it on Youtube.
So if you aren't aquainted with the Batman Beyond series. There is a new Batman in town 40 years after Batman the Animated Series. His name is Terry McGinis and under Bruce's tutelage he dons a new costume and is a different character, more of a young man that you can actually relate to unlike the old batman. So the plot is that the Joker is in town looking as young as ever and is starting to set up pieces for a huge plan. This seems even more strange considering it is revealed that Bruce Wayne actually killed the Joker 30 years ago when the Joker kidnapped and caused permanent mental damage to Robin.
This plot is brilliant. It's handled amazingly, keeping a dark feeling to the movie and setting up the Joker to be the most epic villain ever. The animation is brilliant and sets a tone for the whole movie. The direction is done very well, depicting action well and truly showing the excitement that the writers were trying to convey.
Finally I'll talk about the voice acting, Kevin Conroy is batman. That is a fact. There is no other batman besides Kevin Conroy. In almost any animated movie or show with batman Kevin Conroy has voiced him. And the idea of using two different voices for Batman and Bruce Wayne came from conroy, as we recently saw Christian Bale butcher that. And as usual, Kevin Conroy turns in a great performance as an elderly Bruce.
Ok I could go on forever about Mark Hamill as the Joker, just know this, every single line he delivers in this movie is perfect. It's that simple, he is the perfect voice of Joker.
The rest of the voice acting is solid new batman Terry does just fine. Oddly enough, a bit character does a spot on Christopher Walken impression, that is out of place but still really cool.
To wrap this up, this movie is amazing, it's brilliantly written with all the intangibles (animation, music) spot on as well. I give this movie a 10/10 it's that damn good!

IWIOY ep. 9 Ed, Edd, n' Eddy's Big Picture Show
Episode 9 of I Watched it on Youtube is a fairly recent movie, Ed Edd n' Eddy's Big Picture Show. I remember this show as a kid and it was GREAT. However it's a movie made for a dieing tv series that is losing interest which often times is an equation for crappiness.
We join our trio of heros after a scam goes horribly wrong and they flee to find Eddy's older brother with the kids of the neighborhood in hot pursuit.
Well this was the first. The first movie I've watched that has truly insulted the tv show I watched as a kid. This movie was bland and really just unfunny. The plot was often lost and just really not interesting. The movie is hard to sit all the way through and relies way to heavily on the great soundtrack that defined the series.
The nostalgia is there with the animation and music, but I suggest going back to watch the old episodes instead of this blandness. To sum it up when Plank is the most enjoyable character there's a problem with your movie. I'll give it a 5/10
(wondering why this review is so short? Well I'm lazy.)

IWIOY ep. 8 Rover Dangerfield
Yea, I didn't know this existed, Rover Dangerfield starring Rodney Dangerfield. Well I really have no clue how this one is going to be so lets find out, you heard about it first on I Watched on Youtube.
Ok so Rodney Dangerfield plays an animated dog that is from Vegas that gets into adventures on a farm. (I know soooo unoriginal)
Man, this movie, I don't know how to comprehend what I just watched. First of all, the people who made this movie must have been the biggest Rodney Dangerfields there is a little drum and cymbal after his jokes early on, and not only that all the characters laugh, a ton, when he makes a joke. Which is really awkward in animation.
So the animation was average, no big deal but more importantly, this movie has songs in it.... sung by the characters...... especially the main character..... yea...... RODNEY DANGERFIELD SINGS! And none of that Rodney Raps stuff he actually sings, it isn't THAT bad, but it sucks, and the songs also suck.
One thing that stuck out to me was the final line of the film, I won't say it hear but it's something truly perplexing.
Why's he wearing a tie? Never explained...
Yea I'm not talking about this one for long. If your a super fan of Dangerfield, check the first half of this movie out. Besides that I would suggest not seeing this one. However it is something interesting to know it's out there. I'll give it a 4/10

IWIOY ep.7 Double Doo Feature
Today on I Watched it on Youtube, it's Scooby Doo time everybody! I'm going to review a newer straight to DVD movie, Scooby Doo Cyber Chase, from 2003, and an older Scooby movie, Scooby Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf.
First is Scooby Doo Cyber Chase!
The plot idea is that scooby and friends get sucked into a video game that was designed by a friend of theres to be about them, so to escape they need to get through 10 levels of bad guys. This was used so poorly, instead of bringing back old cool villains or newer versions, or parodying the old show they just have them take on dinosaurs! and roman soldiers! Its lame, nonsensical and bland
Another negative is the voice acting which is pretty sub-par. Also the animation is pretty low rate, it's obvious backgrounds with characters put on top. Including an obvious animation goof up.
There is one moment, literally one moment, that made me laugh. To spare you the pain of watching the movie I'll just tell you. When Fred suggests splitting up into groups, shaggy and scooby just walk off and Fred goes "Hey guys, I didn't say who'd go with whom." Shaggy just replies, "Man, it's not like we've done it any other way." (Obviously it's funnier to see not read)
The plot is not only stupid, the villain is dumb, non threatening and not cool. Most villains in Scooby doo were actually kindof threatening and you can understand why the gang runs away. Remember this guy?
This guy was scary! And the noise he made coming after you could penetrate your nightmares! The virus in this movie doesn't make any cool noises or scary threats, he talks just fine and what he says is bland. Not only that this virus looks more like something that belongs in Danny Phantom not Scooby Doo
Not to much to say here, just a bad movie that was made to make some money. It has it's VERY seldom moments but overall pretty weak. I'd give it a 4/10.
Now onto a movie from 1988, Scooby Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf.
This movie has Shaggy, Scooby and Scrappy doo (leaving out the rest of the gang) as Shaggy is turned into a real werewolf for a monster race run by Dracula himself.
Now I remember watching this movie as a kid and I loved it but man, I could not find a redeeming quality in this movie. The plot is ridiculous and steers away from what made Scooby doo enjoyable. The animation is what's expected from the series and isn't anything spectacular, and because it's out of it's regular setting you don't get that nostalgia feeling. The writing is bland, I never laughed this whole movie. I guess I could say the voice acting was ok, but nothing special.
But by FAR the worst thing about this movie is that in an hour and twenty minute long movie, 45 minutes of if is the race itself! And it gets soooooo repetitive.
Honestly, if I had to choose I'd suggest watching Cyber Chase over this, at least that one tries to be like the old series with music similarities and chase scenes. This one just.... I don't know how someone could think this up and feel like it fit within the Scooby doo series well. I'll give it a 2/10.
Now I'm off to find a GOOD Scooby doo movie, like Scooby Doo on Ghoul Island or Scooby Doo meets Batman, wait those are bad. Ok well then I'll watch the live action Scooby Doo movies because those are good right!? ........AW FORGET THIS!

IWIOY ep. 6 Digimon the Movie
Ok I'll admit I could not sit through all of the pokemon movie I planned to review, it was that bad. (and I sat through Bionicle!). Instead today on I Watched it on Youtube, I'm going to review the movie version of pokemons little brother digimon. I loved the first and even second series of this show so I'm interested to see how the movie turns out.
Let me explain something to start out the American version of this movie plays out in 3 parts. Mainly because it's actually combining the 3 short movies from the Japanese. If this were theatrical release I would have a problem with it however as a add on to the series I think it fits in nicely. However sometimes scenes can feel rushed or something was missing because they had to cut stuff for time.
My main focus will be the second story because it's the longest, best and that is the one that I can relate to the most. But first here's a summary of the plot of each one.
The first segment is with Tai and Kari as young kids with there first interaction with digimon. It was something they touched on in the series and it played out well here.
The second part's plot takes place after the events of the first season but still takes the main cast from that season, it involves an evil digimon on the internet.
The third part involves the characters from season two tracking down a digi-destined in America.
Now before I get into how awesome this movie was, I must say, if you don't have any previous knowledge of the serious, you might not get alot of it. The movie explains everything but it's pretty tough to digest all of it so quickly.
About the movie itself, Digimon the Movie is hilarious!!! I watched this alone in my house on youtube and it had me laughing out loud on multiple ocasions. The show was always funny when it wanted to be but not that many jokes were ever made, the movie however was really goddamn funny. It's hard to explain how funny a movie is so I'll move on to other aspects of the movie, but truly the humor hear really sells the movie because it's just normal jokes, even if your confused by the plot and all this diggimon stuff you'll still laugh.
A big aspect to why this movie was great to me as a self proclaimed movie critic was the direction. I know as an animated film being a director isn't exactly the same as live action, but in this film the angles were amazing and the action looked fluent and exciting. This subtle brilliance really kept you sunk into what was going on.
The animation has changed a bit from the vs show, the coloring is blander and everything is just mildly different. I'd prefer to see it the old way, but the animation does it's job with no real faults.
Another subtle awesomeness of this movie was the soundtrack. I would honestly want to own the CD of this movie's soundtrack. It took American songs that fit the mood very well (and some of my personal favorites) while keeping in songs specifically about digimon and the songs from the show. All in all, anytime a song played in this movie, I was more pumped for the action.
I don't want to ramble on so I'll wrap this up. This movie was great, the humor was genuinely funny without ruining the seriousness of events and mood. The direction, soundtrack, and script was well done. Overall this was a very high quality product that like the tv show tops pokemon. I'd definetly suggest checking this one out on youtube, even if your not a fan go and just watch the middle segment. Overall I'll give it an 8.5/10

IWIOY ep. 5 Bionicle Mask of Light
This time on I Watched It On Youtube, I review Bionicle: Mask of Light. I was a big fan of the toys when I was a kid, so if the movie is just a guy playing with them with a few G.I. Joe's, some other lego guys, a Buzz light year toy, and a figurine of the pokemon Groudon, this is going to be awesome.
First of all this the first C.G.I. movie I've reviewed here so I'd like to say my opinion on cgi. I don't mind CGI, it can effectively show a different style of visuals that seem realistic while still properly portraying everything it needs to. But cgi sometimes seems to just try to hard to look realistic or it will show a shot that is supposed to be just awesome but I've seen it in a video game cut scene because they often use cgi. I much prefer classic animation, not only because I'm often a traditionalist but because then you are truly taking on a unique style for example the Power puff girls or Samurai Jack.
Now onto my review of this movie. First I'll cover the logistics and then I'll talk about my opinion of it all.
A big part of this movie is getting over the mental block as a viewer is that your watching these mecha/plastic guys talk and such, the whole movie. They have noticable facial expressions but early on it is difficult to take it all seriously. (especially when a guy and girl is flirting.... I don't see human anatomy there)
Below average voice acting, combined with below average dialogue, however neither seem to bad unless your paying close attention.
The plot follows a very Lord of the Ringsy line, with two young friends being called to take the mask of light to a certain place while conquering there fears and the villains coming after them. While this is happening 6 guardians (water, fire, air, ground, ice, and stone) help them on there quest and battle the bad guys.
Ok, let me get this out of the way. This movie sucked. It's that simple. Besides the obvious plot holes, many things aren't explained and assume you have knowledge of the magazing series already. The storyline goes from mildly interesting to illogical twists that ruin all the plot that happened before it. Plot points are introduced and solved within minutes and mean nothing in the end.
But what I think is most dissappointing is the fact that they have these six guardians which were based off of the original toyline. But at no point did these guys EVER kick some ass. I mean they fight, but usually they lose or simply the battles are poorly choreagraphed and directed because they just come off bland. The power puff girls kicked more ass than these guys!
This is the guy I had as a kid and he was a badass! In this movie he is the closest to being a badass but just didn't cut it.
I'll wrap this up quickly. You might want to see this movie if your curious or if you want to experience a new look in animation. But in general, don't watch this movie. To put it plainly, it's stupid. I'll give it a 3/10

IWIOY ep. 4 Powerpuff Girls the Movie
This episode of I Watched It On Youtube, I review the Powerpuff Girls Movie..... O god, this one's going to hurt isn't it.
The first thing I'd like to say is. I was able to sit through this. It was actually funny at times.
The plot is more of an origin story, and a prequel to the tv series.
I have to say the animation has it's own unique style and the visual movement animation is incredible. For what they were working with, it's really top notch stuff when it comes to graffics.
Lots of filler, 10 minute long game of tag, that's suppose to show off there powers but it took FOREVER. It seems every montage, and collaboration of things is longer than it should be like they came up short for time and just extended a few scenes.
This movie almost takes the backstory of the main villain, and makes it an interesting story about an outcast who originally just wanted to help. Instead they just go with the "he's evil because he's evil" way
You'll be happy to know there is some badass powerpuff girl fighting action! And I will admit there was one moment that got me pretty pumped and excited.
I think the problem with this movie is it's basically a pilot episode gone long in the middle of the series. It didn't really tell us anything we didn't know or any interesting character twists. This movie could of played out to much larger of a scale with multiple returning bad guys but the problem is to turns out to be WAYY to predictable. It's really predictable, which is dissappointing because honestly, the Powerpuff Girls was a unique quality t.v. show that was pretty well done. But instead of the movie taking it to another level it kindof took the easy route.
This was a nice movie that is probably alot more enjoyable for big fans of the series and to younger audiences. If you loved the show, I'd suggest watching it but if not pass it up. I'll give this a 7/10
P.S. Sorry if this was a little scatterbrained and quick, I wrote this one quickly because I wanted to move on.
P.S.S. the whole time watching this i couldnt stop thinking about the old music video they played all the time for a cartoon groovy.

IWIOY ep. 3 Buzz Lightyear of Star Command
Today, in I Watched It On Youtube, I watch Buzz Lightyear of Star Command the Adventure Begins, a movie made to set up the tv series with Buzz playing his non-toy version, instead the idea is the tv show is what Buzz the toy was based off of.
I'm undecided on my expectations for this movie, it's made by pixar. But kindof a forced idea, not its usual original genius.
So the humor is not that bad. You will get a few checkles here and there, especially from a character called XR. But the problem is they don't make enough jokes to be considered a comedy.
The basic problem with this movie is that it needs to pick a theme. It takes Buzz Lightyear and the whole universe seriously, except it acts out as time like a parody of space action stories. For example, when Buzz's ex-partner turns bad he says "My name Darkmatter what do you expect?" Which is kindof funny but it throws the seriousness of the movie out the window and hurts the tone of the film. They are able to do this because it's a kids movie, and really kids don't care about tone. But it's laziness for the writers.
Speaking of laziness the animation is pretty poor. Backgrounds and people's outfits lack detail, and expressions are over the top.
This film is esecially dissappointing because it's got the pieces to take itself seriously. The action scenes could be exciting, the fighting is set up well that the bad guys look cool and there could be some cool action. Except it just turns out bland
This is a kids movie, and unlike Recess, it's obvious. And as a kids movie I would rate it highly, it should be entertaining for a young kid and keep their focus. But because of the general laziness it doesn't get to that level of entertainment for adults, even if you watched the show before (which I did, and it was good). I would suggest showing this to your kid or the boy your babysitting if you need to eat up some time. The general problem with this movie is that it is stuck in between a space action film and a comedy, instead of succeeding at one, it does below average at both. So overall I'll give it a 6/10

Kaymazing Reviews GWIOY ep.2 Recess School's Out
Go Watch it on Youtube ep. 2
Recess School's Out has all the qualities of a bad movie, weak animation, most characters are simple stereotypes, and the plot is ridiculous. But damn this stuff is funny.
This movie should be bad. It should be a cheap movie used to get the final remnants of cash off of an ending series. But then they went ahead and messed up all that badness by writing some hilarious jokes. I'm not kidding when I say this was one of the funnier movies I've seen. It's jokes were aimed at kids except stayed clever and threw in some for the adults.
What's amazing about the comedy is not only is it simple childish jokes, but it can be observational humor relating to kids. For example when they break into the empty school in summer Gus whispers "I hope someones feeding the gerbil." Along with that it's fun watching a movie where kids logic and actions are used, when they are spying on the scientists, Gretchen is explaining their equipment when TJ interrupts "SHHH the bad guys are talking!"
OK So basically this movie takes the show Recess, and makes a feature length film. The plot involves an evil principle back for revenge wanted to remove summer vacation. The plot is far-fetched and misplaced if you were a fan of the show. However as an outsider to the Recess the plot is understandable. The characters all carry from the show, nothing special except a guy named Dabney Coleman as Principal Prickly, he is amazing. He's an old school character actor (look him up!) who went from the shows version, just a simple character with no real changes. To an amazing multidimensional near hero, who shines in the film. Besides him there is only one new character the villain Billiam (awesome name because it's a classic kid joke)and he's played by...... Holy Shit is that James Woods!!! Yea, James Woods is the villain here and. he. is. AWESOME! The expressions his animated character make can't
even justify his voice acting.
This soundtrack is amazing, introducing a younger audience to classic hits, that still fit well to the movie "Dancing in the Street" "One is the loneliest number" "Born to be Wild" and alot others.
Admittedly, considering the last movie I reviewed, Iron Giant, had beautiful visuals, this one is the opposite. The animation is pretty bad, but not distracting and if your not one to care, it won't affect you.
This movie is a must see! Especially if you grew up watching the series like me but even if you have never seen the show you should still check it out. You can find the full movie (in 8 parts) on youtube I'd go check it out.
As a true movie, I still rank it highly, it's good to show young kids as entertainment, but as a teen I still love it and would watch it with friends.
I'll give it a 8/10, It reminded me of the Simpson's movie, you might not care about the plot or the message, but you'll laugh your ass off.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall
An original romantic comedy, oxymoron right? For once that's actually a plausibly statement when it comes to the movie, Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I realize calling it a romantic comedy is a stretch but really thats only because its actually funny
Jason Segal is our protagonist. When his movie star girlfriend (Kristen Bell) breaks up with him. Not handling it well, Segal decides to go to Hawaii to get away from everything. There he meets Mila Kunis who is working at the hotel. When Segal arrives he discovers his ex has also decided to come there with her new boyfriend, rocker Russell Brand. I won't spoil anything, but from there is where this movie really throws surprises at you.
Cast:
Segal, who also wrote this movie, is hilarious, and never gets sappy and barely a joke misses.
Kristen Bell as Sarah Marshall plays a great role because the movie actually shows that she had reasons for what she did, and is a reasonably multi-sided character.
Mila Kunis is the true star of this film, being truly hilarious, and of course, really damn hot. Her role is unique how it is portrayed, in that she isn't just the perfect girl Segal goes after. She actually has her own issues and personality.
A big part of the humor comes from the supporting cast. Great bit roles by Bill Hader, Jonah Hill, Paul Rudd, and Jack MacBryor ("30 rock guy") add some comedic depth.
Russel Brand does a good job playing his character. Another role that is more than one sided. Even if you aren't a fan of Brand, he actually doesn't get overly annoying.
Pretty hard to forget that.
Now I must warn you this movies comedy, is alot about sex, literally. The humor isnt too crass and is still very funny but... don't watch it with your mom. Especially considering a moment of male full frontal, (I know it sounds bad but it's done perfectly so its hilarious (I didn't think it was possible either))
This movie is something special, it's a romantic comedy aimed at guys. It ignores the usually sappy and boring moments to keep the movie constantly running with funny jokes and new character developments. In general, this movie is a definite watch, through all the dirty jokes you actually see true character feelings. I'd give this movie, an 9/10, memorable, funny, and brilliant.

Iron Giant
Warner Bro's animated films usually aren't very varied, it's mostly looney tunes, scooby doo and other hanna barbara and DC comic movies like the Justice League, o yea and Osmosis Jones but lets not bring that up. No I'm here to talk about a GOOD movie where Warner Bro's broke the mold, the Iron Giant.
The Iron Giant was an animated science fiction film about a large alien robot lands in a small 1950's town. With a solid voice cast of Harry Connick Jr., John Mahoney (Frasier's dad!), a rare good performance from Vin Diesel, and surprisingly Jennifer Anniston.
The plot revolves around a young boy named Hogarth who discovers a giant robot from space, with the help of a junkyard artist Hogarth hides the robot from a government agent out to confiscate it for the government.
The plot here is brilliantly paced with good action and tension while still taking those pauses for fun humor. All the characters are portrayed with depth and seem believable. A great part of this movie is how it's able to avoid stereotyping its characters and moments, most characters are not onesided. The emotion portrayed in the serious scenes is unbelievable in it's realism.
A great side of this movie is the visuals, made in 1999 the animation has that nostalgic feeling of older disney films while still holding beautiful detail in every scene, the style of animation helps you involve yourself more in the 1550's time period. The animation excels, beyond belief, at it's sense of motion while still holding that classic style of art. To put it simply, as a fan of animation, this is probably one of the best animated films ever, just judging by the visuals.
The best scenes in this movie happen between Hogarth and the giant just having fun, for example a trip to a lake. It is amazing how they are able to build a strong character in the giant without having him say many words at all. His facial expressions and actions define how he reacts in certain situations and those forms of reactions stay consistent throughout the movie. This movie parallels E.T. in many ways (parallels, not copies), an alien that is misunderstood and helped by a young boy.
Overall this movie is enjoyable for all ages, it's focused at kids but funny enough and heartfelt for adults. This movie will truly be memorable. I suggest, no matter your age, the next time your free, find the full movie on youtube. I give it a 10/10 (that's right, it's perfect, sure thats a bit of my nostalgia, but whats wrong with people giving perfect scores! I can't find fault in this film)

Prince of persia
O great a movie, by disney, with the star from Brokeback Mountain doing action, playing a different race...... and yea it's from a videogame. Sounds like ultimate doom right? Don't worry Prince of Persia was actually pretty good.
As a quick spoiler free summary Gyllenhaal plays the prince Dastan who finds the Dagger of Time, a blade that can reverse short moments of time. This is a valuable item wanted by the bad guy, so Gyllenhaal must go on an adventure with the princess, played by a hot Gemma Arterton, to not let the dagger fall into the wrong hands. Generic right? well it's done well and the ending took me by surprise completely.
If you can get over the fact that Jake Gyllenhaal is white and not anywhere close to being Persian, (he doesn't have to be the right race, he's just so handsomely tough!) he does do a good job as the leading man. Admittedly he is pretty built and fits in well with the action.
The bad guy, Ben Kingsley, is quite obvious which is disappointing, because the movie tries to play it like it's a reasonable surprise. Yea big surprise the evil looking guy wearing eyeliner who's first line is encouraging the attack on a holy city is evil, big surprise.
The Gemma Arterton as the princess fits in well, however it is disappointing that the most beautiful princess in all of persia is an english actress. She does plays her character believably, she has one of the best performances of the film, the only problem is that I think they cast her on her looks (which I do not disagree with) and her serious whisper so when she has to yell or scream it often comes out as a high pitch whine.
The action here is good but its hurt with the new theme in directing which is the shaking camera and quick shots of something. Sometimes I would like them to just zoom out a little and see Gyllenhaal take the guy down, not a shaking close up where you can only kind of get the idea of what he just did. The action will keep you excited but when it comes down to it you sometimes wish they would just a show a shot of what is happening to show the scale of what he's doing, like running across rooftops acrobatically, I'd rather just see him do it, then these flashy quick movements.
Quick mentions go to the soundtrack and the comedy relief character, which is a comedy relief character, not much else to say about him, he can be funny but annoying like all comedy relief characters. The soundtrack of this movie is great, it fits in with the atmosphere and well represents the moment at hand.
The romance between Gyllenhaal and the princess is surprisingly well done. I hate romances in films, especially action films, because you know what's going to happen you, you know they are going to get together. But even I enjoyed this one, they didn't do anything original, but they kept it light and moving, it didn't drag down the whole plot like most do and it didn't fall into the old, "well the good guy won so there for the girl that he had no chemistry with now loves him" thing.
The magic is handled a little inconsistent, the idea of the dagger of time and it's abilities is well presented and believable. However when other things occur it's confusing if this is because of the same kindof magic elements. For example there is a character that can control snakes, now are these just his well trained pets, or is that some kind of spell or magic or something, it's not explained.
On a bit of a side note I think it is interesting how people are able to simply believe whatever is shown to them on the screen. In the movie 300 hundred the persians were these overly mystical ruthless savages, here they are presented with reasonable honor, what is with the change? Maybe we are supposed to believe that because two of princes are white guys that they are all suddenly righteous. All I'm saying is that people don't ever question what is told to them on the screen often movies point to someone and say "he's the bad guy because he's evil!" and most Americans reply with "ok, he's a foreigner so I can buy that."
Anyways sorry about that, my conclusions on the movie is simple. This film is kickass! And you should have an enjoyable experience watching it, it does have it's moments of stupidity but not enough to take you out of the movie. For a video game movie, this is truly a cut above, it is not special, not a great movie to go down in history, but it's more like a solid james bond film, this movie is just a kick ass action film that will keep you entertained the whole time.
Prince of Persia accomplished what it wanted to do, be a fun action film, I'll give it a 8/10

Kelly's Heroes
Here it is! My first review! and for that review I'm gonna talk about one of my favorite movies ever, Kelly's Heroes. This movie is awesome. This movie is about an army unit that goes after a German bank full of gold, during World War II. The cast is amazing, Clint Eastwood, (so it's automatically good) Donald Sutherland as a screwball in charge of three sherman tanks, Telly Savalas as the tough Sergeant, and Don Rickles. These guys are great, their chemistry is amazing together and they truly make the movie what it is.
The movie's plot is pretty simple and it's not one that stirs deep thought. This movie is all about the classic action, and the awesome characters. Eastwood and Savalas work great together, Rickles is hilarious but still believable. And Sutherland what can I say about Donald Sutherland's character Oddball (yea that's his name). This character is awesome! He is hilarious without taking away anything from the action and seriousness of the movie.
And I think that's what this movie is all about, it is able to be mildly funny while giving you old school world war 2 action. The storyline is believable and keeps the action moving. This fast paced movie's action is intense and interesting. In general, this movie is great, just great, the action, the characters, even the soundtrack just creates an awesome WWII classic. I would definitely check this one out. I give it a 9 out of 10. What do you think Oddball?
Yea I figured I got it right.
