Teen Titans, a favorite of mine as a kid. Great action, fun characters and cool storylines, this show was one of the last great Saturday morning cartoons. So they made a movie to close out the series, and I've gotten mixed results from these types of movies, some bad (Powerpuff Girls the Movie, Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy Big Picture Show) some very good (Recess: School's Out). Well let's see how this goes, this is I Watched it on Youtube episode 12, Teen Titans Trouble in Tokyo.Quick Plot Summary: So the titans are attacked at their tower by a mysterious stranger that they find out came from Japan, so the teens decide to take a vacation and head off to Tokyo! But wait a sec... while their gone who will fight the ever-present bad guys?! Ah well, Cinderblock will just be allowed to run the town for a week.
The plot is generally interesting, nothing too surprising or impressive but it's a good avenue for the characters to grow, interact, and have some fun. It also doesn't mess with the tv series in anyway, a cardinal sin for spinoff movies. It's a little disappointing to remove the titans for the tower because that's where most of the humor came and it was a good place for the characters to interact however we still get enough of that here.
The voice acting and action stays consistent with the series in it's impressiveness all the heroes are able to show off their cool abilities.
Not much to say here, A run of the mill tv series movie done to perfection. Furthers the characters, stays consistent with the series with some fun adventure, stays funny and should please any fan of the series. I'll give it a 9/10, without the tv show it doesn't really work being the only hit against the movie. I'd suggest anyone to check it out on youtube.
